Uz «Glavni program» i «Novi finski film», od 27. do 31. srpnja, na Motovun Film Festivalu bit će prikazana još četiri filmska ciklusa.
U skladu s ovogodišnjom «recesijskom» atmosferom, svako jutro održavat će se projekcije filmova iz ciklusa «Pohlepa i siromaštvo», a uvečer partizanski akcijski filmovi iz ciklusa «Das ist Walter».
From the 27th to the 31st of July the Motovun Film Festival will present four different film cycles, beside the Main Programme and the New Finnish Film Programme.
In accordance with the recessional atmosphere, the mornings will be reserved for the films from the «Greed and Poverty Cycle», while the evenings will be dedicated to the movies from the partisan action film programme titled «Das ist Walter».
Accanto al «Programma principale» e al «Nuovo film finlandese», dal 27 al 31 luglio, al Motovun Film festival, verranno proposti altri quattro cicli filmici.
In concordanza all’atmosfera «di recessione» che vige quest’anno, ogni mattina verranno presentati i film del ciclo «Avidità e povertà», mentre la sera seguiranno film d’azione partigiani del ciclo «Das ist Walter».
Priče o pohlepi i siromaštvu uključuju sedam različitih uradaka s istom tematskom poveznicom. Festival započinje jutarnjom projekcijom američke «Pohlepe» Ericha von Stroheima, jednog od najvećih redatelja iz razdoblja nijemog filma. U originalu je trajao nevjerojatnih deset sati i jedan je od najpoznatijih naslova u povijesti kinematografije koji je bio podvrgnut tako drastičnoj cenzuri.
Drugog dana festivala bit će prikazan film «Zlatna groznica» Charlija 
Chaplina, klasik iz 1925. godine. U njemu je prikazana poznata filmska scena u kojoj Skitnica (Chaplin) jede svoju čizmu. Slijedi film «Čudo u Milanu» talijanskog redatelja Vittoria De Sice, prvog oskarovca s neengleskog govornog područja. U filmu «Stari, imašsitnoga?» redatelj Phillipp More progovara o životu u Americi tijekom Velike depresije kroz niz dokumentarnih, novinarskih i filmskih snimaka koje su u krizno doba zabavljale publiku. Film uključuje izvedbe Binga Crosb yja, Boba Hopea, Clarka Gablea, Mickeyja Rooneyja i drugih poznatih glumaca.
Prikazat će se i antologijsko djelo hrvatskog dokumentarizma te najpoznatiji dokumentarni film Krešimira Golika «Od 3 do 22» (1966.), a posljednja u nizu «pohlepnih» priča je «Wall street» američkog redatelja Olivera Stonea.
Iz programa «Das ist Walter» održat će s projekcije filmova: «Dvostrukiobruč» Nikole Tanhofera, «Kapetan Leši» Živorada Mitrovića, film koji Kosovo koristi onako kako je «Hollywood» koristio Divlji zapad te dva filma Hajrudina 
Krvavca: «Most» i «Walter brani Sarajevo». Posljednji u nizu je «Partizanski film», dokumentarac Igora Stoimenova, koji se bavi navišim dostignućima ovoga žanra: ratnim spektaklima Veljka Bulajića i akcijskim filmovima spomenutog Hajrudina Krvavca.
U sklopu «Posebnih projekcija» na programu su dva filma. Prvi je «Cargoizgubljen i nađen» redateljice Biljane Tuturov iz Francuske (2008./ 102 min) u obliku dokumentarnog filma koji prati djelo hrvat skog glazbenika s francuskom adresom Darka Rundeka i članove njegovog projekta «Ru
ndek Cargo Orkestar».
Drugi film je «Revanš» redatelja Götz Spielmanna iz Austrije (2008./ 121 min). Priča je to o krivnji i osveti smještena u milje bečkog polusvijeta i ruralne Austrije. Glavni lik Alex radi kao vozač i plaćenik vlasnika javne kuće Konecnog, a u tajnoj je vezi s Ukrajinkom Tamarom, jednom od djevojaka iz bordela. Situacija postaje sve teža te njih dvoje odluče pobjeći…Film je osvojio više nagrada: Berlin 2008: nagrada «C.I.C.A.E.»; «Femina Film» Prize (Maria Gruber, scenografija); Label Europa Cinemas Diagonale 2008: «Grand Prize»; Motovun 2008: nagrada «Od A do A»; Palm Springs 2009: nagrada «FIPRESCI» – najbolji strani film; Troms 2009: nagrada 
«Aurora» i nagrada «FIPRESCI».
Od «Dokumentaraca» bit će prikazan film «Doba glupih» Franny Armstrong (Velika Britanija, 2009./ 92 min), u kojemu ova uvažena redateljica obrađuje tematiku globalnih klimatskih promjena iz kuta gledišta glavnog lika Petea koji živi u opustošenom svijetu budućnosti. Film «Lica glumice»Ana-Marije Bokor (Hrvatska, 2008./ 65 min) otkriva nam različita lica četiriju 
glumica, Ane Begić, Bojane Gregorić-Vejzović, Doris Šarić-Kukuljice i Marije Sekelez, unutar poslovnog i privatnog života.
U svom zanimljivom dokumentarcu ceste «Odavde do Tralala» (Hrvatska, 2009./ 75 min) redatelj Boris Veličan nudi nam različite sadržaje sa 
svoga puta «Svilenom cestom» (Beogradske splavi, trbušne plesačice, prokletstvo Aja Sofije, fatamorganu, lovce na deve, krijumčare heroina i još mnogo toga). I naposljetku, redateljica Juliette Jourdan u filmu «Stranci među nama» (Francuska, 2008./ 52 min) ispričat će priču o kulturološkim razlikama i sukobima Roma i ostalih građana maloga grada na sjeveru Češke. The Programme Greed and Poverty comprises seven different works linked thematically. The festival starts with the morning screening of the film Greed by Erich von Stroheim, one of the greatest directors of the silent-film era. Originally, the screening of the film lasted for 10 hours. This fact makes it one of the most famous works in the history of motion picture, which has undergone a harsh form of censorship.
The film Gold Rush by Charlie Chaplin, a classic from the year 1925, will be screened on the second day of the festival. The film contains the famous scene in which the Tramp (Chaplin) eats his own boot. After the Gold Rush follows the screening of the Miracle in Milan by the Italian director Vittorio De Sica, the first Oscar winner from the non-English area.
The film Brother, can you spare a dime? by Phillip More depicts the life in America during the period of the Great Depression through a series of documentary, journalistic and film excerpts, which have entertained the audience during the aforementioned era. It includes performances by Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Clark Gable, Mickey Rooney and other famous actors.
The festival will also host the screening of the film From 3 to 22, an anthological work of Croatian documentary film and the most famous work of Krešo Golik. The film Wall Street by Oliver Stone will be the last story about greed presented during the festival.
The Das ist Walter Programme comprises films Double Circle by Nikola Tanhofer, Captain Leshi by Živorad Mitrović (the film which uses Kosovo in the way Hollywood uses the Wild West) and two works by Hajrudin Krvavac: The Bridge and Walter defends Sarajevo. The last film of the cycle is the work titled Partisan Films, a documentary by Igor Stoimenov, which analyzes the greatest accomplishments of the genre – the war spectacles by Veljko Bulajić and the action films by the aforementioned Hajrudin Krvavac.
The Special Screenings Programme will present two films. The first is Cargo lost and found by Biljana Tuturov from France (2008, 102′), a documentary which presents the work of the Croatian musician Darko Rundek and the members of the Rundek Cargo Orchestra. The second film is Revanche by Götz Spielmann from Austria (2008, 121′). It is a story of guilt and revenge set in the Vienna underground and the rural parts of Austria. The main character Alex works as a driver and a mercenary for the owner of the Konecnog brothel. He is also secretly involved with Tamara, a prostitutes from the brothel, with whom he plans to escape… The film won several prizes: Berlin, 2008, «C.I.C.A.E.»; «Femina Film» Prize (Maria Gruber, scenography); Label Europa Cinemas Diagonale 2008: «Grand Prize»; Motovun 2008: «From A to A» award; Palm Springs 2009: «FIPRESCI»; Troms 2009: «Aurora», «FIPRESCI».
The Documentaries Programme will present the film The Age of Stupid by Franny Armstrong (GB, 2009, 92′), which deals with with the problems of global climate changes from the perspective of the main character Pete, who lives in the devastated world of future.
The film The Faces of Actress by Ana-Marija Bokor (Croatia, 2008, 65′) reveals different faces of four actresses: Ana Begić, Bojana Gregorić-Vejzović, Doris Šarić-Kukuljica and Marija Sekelez.
The interesting documentary From here to Tralala (Croatia, 2009, 75′) by Boris Veličan presents different episodes of his road trip on the Silk Route (the rafts of Belgrade, belly dancers, the Hagia Sophia curse, a mirage, camel hunters, heroin smugglers, etc). Finally, the film Strangers Inside (France, 2008, 52′) by Juliette Jourdan will tell us the story of cultural differences and conflicts between the Roma people and the rest of the citizens of a small town in the North of the Czech Republic.
Le storie di avidità e povertà includono sette film accomunati da questo tema. Il Festival inizia con la proiezione mattutina del film americano «Avidità» di Erich von Stroheim, uno dei più grandi registi del film muto. Originariamente, durava dieci ore ed è tra i film conosciuti per aver subito una delle più forti censure.
Il secondo giorno, verrà proiettato il film «La febbre dell’oro» di Charlie Chaplin, un classico del 1925. È in questo film che il Vagabondo (Chaplin) mangia il suo stivale. Segue il film «Miracolo a Milano» del regista italiano Vittorio de Sica, primo premio Oscar avuto da una persona che non proviene da un paese anglofono. Nel film «Amico, hai qualche spicciolo?», il regista Philipp More, attraverso una serie di registrazioni documentarie, giornalistiche e filmiche che nel periodo di crisi intrattenevano il pubblico, parla della vita in america durante la Grande depressione. Il film include le interpretazioni di Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Clark Gable, Mickey Rooney e di altri attori famosi.
Verrà proiettato il più famoso documentario croato «Od 3 do 22» (1966) di Krešimir Golik, mentre l’ultima della serie delle storie «avide» sarà «Wall street» del regista americano Oliver Stone.
Nell’ambito del programma «Das ist Walter» verranno proposti i seguenti film: «Il doppio cerchio» di Nikola Tanhofer, «Capitano Leši» di Živorad Mitrović, «Most» e «Walter difende Sarajevo», di Hajrudin Krvavac e «Film partigiano» di Igor Stoimenov.
Nell’ambito delle «proiezioni speciali», il programma reca due film: «Cargoizgubljen i nađen» di Biljana Tuturov«Rivincita» di Götz Spielmanna dall’Austria (2008 /121′), una storia dei bassifondi dell’Austria. Il film ha ricevuto più di un premio: Berlin 2008: premio «C.I.C.A.E.»; «Femina Film» Prize (Maria Gruber, scenografia); Label Europa Cinemas Diagonale 2008: «Grand Prize»; Motovun 2008: premio «Od A do A»; Palm Springs 2009: premio «FIPRESCI» – miglior film straniero; Troms 2009: premio «Aurora» e premio «FIPRESCI». Nell’ambito dei «Documentari», verranno proiettati i film «L’Era degli stupidi» di Franny Armstrog (Gran Bretagna, 2009⁄92′) che tratta il tema dei cambiamenti climatici globali osservati dal punto di vista di Pete, che vive in un futuro desolato; seguono «Le facce dell’attrice» di Ana-Marija Bokor (Croazia, 2008⁄65′) in cui la regista scopre le facce, professionali e private, di quattro attrici diverse: Ana Begić, Bojana Gregorić-Vejzović, Doris Šarić-Kukuljica e Marija Sekelez; «Da qui a Tralala» di Boris Veličan (Croazia, 2009⁄75′) che nel film offre i particolari della «Via della seta» (le zattere di Belgrado, la maledizione di Aja Sofia, la fatamorgana, i cacciatori dei cammelli, i contrabbandieri di eroina e molto altro); e, infine, nel film «Gli estranei tra di noi» (Francia, 2008⁄52′) la regista Juliette Jourdan racconterà la storia sulle differenze culturali tra i Rom e il resto degli abitanti di una piccola città nel nord della Repubblica Ceca.
