The repertoire of the ensemble comprises compositions by G. Verdi, G. Rossini and L. Bernstein.

The quintet was founded in 1991 by the young professional musicians of the Zagreb Music Academy: Dani Bošnjak, Danijel Martinović, Dubravka Lukin and Bánk Harkay. They were joined by Ricardo Luque, bassoonist from Venezuela, who graduated from the Moscow conservatory.

During the second season of their work, Branko Mihanović replaced Dubravka Lukin.

All the members are also professionaly active in other musical institutions in Zagreb – Dani Bošnjak plays the piccolo at the Zagreb Philharmonic and is a member of the Croatian Baroque Ensemble. He is a great improvizer and jazz musician and plays with Ricardo in a latino ensemble.

Branko Mihanović is the oldest member of the Quintet and usually acts as the artistic director, although all the decisions are made jointly. He is a very experienced musicians, who has been a member of many chamber ensembles (Zagreb Wind Trio, Musica Viva Ensemble, Croatian Baroque Ensemble, Croatian Chamber Octet, Musica da Camera Ensemble). He is currently a docent at the Music Academy in Zagreb and plays the oboe and the English horn.

Danijel Martinović plays the bass clarinet at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb and works as the conductor of the City Music in Karlovac.

Bánk Harkay, originally from Subotica, is a member of the Croatian Radio and Television Symphonic Orchestra. He is also a horse lover and passionate rider. He is very systematic and accurate and for that reasons he acts as the controller of the tempo and rhythm within the framework of the Quintet. He plays the horn.

The Ensemble has worked and cooperated with many other musicians, such as Ratko Vojtek (bass clarinet), Steven Kovacevich, Žanina Carić, Anđelko Krpan (violin), Krešimir Lazar (cello), Marin Zokić (trumpet), Ivana Bilić (percussions) and Višnja Mažuran (cembalo).

The most productive period since the founding of the Ensemble were the two seasons dedicated to cooperation with the Zagreb Museum of Art and Crafts. During that period the Quintet presented a number of premiere performances and enriched its repertoire. Within the framework of these concerts the Ensemble celebrated their 10th anniversary. On this occasion they performed the famous Mozart Pianist Quintet in cooperation with Steven Kovacevich.

The Ensemble regularly participates in the Music Biennale, International Music Seminar in Pula, Cantus workshops of Contemporary Music in Vis and performs at numerous summer festivals. One of their most memorable performance was the concert in Venezuela where they played with the Symphonic Orchestra «Simone Boliva», when they presented the «Concerto grosso No 2» for the wind orchestra and the string player by Boris Papandopulo.
