Na 42. «Međunarodnom festivalu kazališta lutaka – PIF –u» koji se održavao od 29. kolovoza do 4. rujna u Zagrebu, među nagrađenima našla se i pulska etno-jazz glazbenica Tamara Obrovac.
Tamara Obrovac, jazz musician from Pula, is one of the awarded artist of the 42nd International Festival of Puppet Theatres. The festival took place from the 29th of August to the 4th of September in Zagreb.
Ona je, ovom prigodom, osvojila nagradu Međunarodnog stručnog žirija za glazbu u predstavi «Svarožić» Zagrebačkog kazališta lutaka.
Glavnu nagradu «Milan Čečuk», za najbolju predstavu u cjelini, osvojilo je Lutkarsko kazalište «Brest» iz Bjelorusije za predstavu «Salijerijev mjesec». Osim toga, dobili su i nagradu «Tibor Sekelj» za predstavu s najhumanijom porukom.
Prema sudu dječjeg žirija, najbolja predstava za djecu je «Crvenkapica na bakin način», belgijskog Kazališta figura «Leptiri & Co» iz Beverena.
Posebne nagrade dobili su: ansambl ljubljanskog Lutkarskog kazališta s predstavom «Doktor Faust» za očuvanje tradicije kućnog marionetskog kazališta i Mimmo Cuticchio iz Udruge «Figli d‘arte Cuticchio» (Palermo) s predstavom «Ruggiero od Bijeloga Orla» za vrsnu izvedbu i očuvanje baštine. (I. R.)

Obrovac won the Award for Best Music for the play «Svarožić» by the Zagreb Puppet Theatre.
The main prize «Milan Čečuk», for the Best Play as a whole, was awarded to the Puppet Theatre «Brest» from Belarus for their play «Salijeri’s Moon». They also won the Award «Tibor Sekelj» for the most humane play.
According to the Children’s Jury, the best play for children is «Granny’s version of the Little Red Riding Hood» by the Theatre of Figures «Leptiri & Co» from Beveren (Belgium).
Winners of special awards are the ensemble of the Ljubljana Puppet Theatre («Doctor Faust») for the preservation of the traditional marionette theatre and Mimmo Cuticchio of the «Figli d’arte Cuticchio» Association from Palermo («Ruggiero of the White Eagle») for the brilliant performance and preservation of heritage.
