Izložba Etnografskog muze­ja Istre «Valiže i dešti­ni: Istra izvan Istre», koja je tre­ba­la biti zatvo­re­na 30. ruj­na, ostat će otvo­re­na do kra­ja pro­sin­ca 2009. godi­ne zbog veli­ke zain­te­re­si­ra­nos­ti posjetitelja.

The exhi­bi­ti­on at the Etnographic Museum of Istria in Pazin «Suitcases and Destinies: Istria out of Istria», which was to be clo­sed on the 30th of September, will stay open to the 31st of December 2009 due to gre­at inte­rest of the audience.

La mos­tra del Museo etno­gra­fi­co dell’Istria «Valige e des­ti­ni: Istria fuori dall’Istria», che dove­va ter­mi­na­re il 30 set­tem­bre, a causa del gran­de inte­re­sse mani­fes­ta­to dai visi­ta­to­ri, rimar­rà aper­ta fino alla fine di dicem­bre 2009. 

O izlož­bi koja pri­ka­zu­je ise­lje­nič­ko lice Istre u Etnografskom muze­ju Istre kažu slje­de­će: «Većina je ise­lje­nič­kih iskus­ta­va bol­na, a doživ­ljaj rod­nog kra­ja vrlo je emo­ti­van. Iako je sva­ko iskus­tvo poseb­na pri­ča, ovom se izlož­bom poku­ša­lo uop­ći­ti neka iskus­tva ise­lje­ni­ka. Mnogi danas u Istri ne zna­ju koli­ko je Istrana izvan Istre i kak­vi su nji­ho­vi živo­ti. Zbog toga smo želje­li skre­nu­ti paž­nju na pos­to­ja­nje Istre izvan Istre i kroz poje­di­nač­ne sudbine.

The Etnographic Museum of Istria sta­ted the fol­lowing abo­ut the exhi­bi­ti­on: «Most emi­grants expe­ri­en­ce pain, and can be very emo­ti­onal when thin­king abo­ut the­ir homes. Although every story is unique, this exhi­bi­ti­on attemp­ts to gene­ra­li­ze some of the expe­ri­en­ces of emi­grants in order to pro­vi­de a plat­form for under­stan­ding them. A lot of people in Istria do not know abo­ut the­ir Istrian expa­tri­ates, and what the­ir lives are like. That is why the Ethnographic Museum of Istria wants to draw atten­ti­on to the exis­ten­ce of Istrians out­si­de of Istria and the­ir indi­vi­du­al destinies.

La mag­gi­or par­te del­le espe­ri­en­ze degli emi­gra­ti sono dolo­ro­se, e il ricor­do del paese natio è mol­to emo­ti­vo. Anche se ogni epe­ri­en­za è una sto­ria a sé stan­te, con ques­ta mos­tra si è cer­ca­to di gene­ra­li­zza­re alcu­ne del­le espe­ri­en­ze degli emi­gra­ti istri­ani. Molte per­so­ne in Istria non san­no quan­ti sono gli istri­ani fuori dall’Istria e come vivo­no. Per ques­to si è volu­to rivol­ge­re l’at­ten­zi­one ver­so l’e­sis­ten­za dell’Istria fuori dall’Istria, anc­he attra­ver­so des­ti­ni individuali.

Zbog broj­nos­ti i hete­ro­ge­nos­ti pos­to­je­ćih inter­pre­ta­ci­ja koje uglav­nom pro­iz­la­ze iz raz­li­či­tih ide­olo­ških i poli­tič­ki obo­je­nih kon­tek­s­ta, istra­ži­va­nje i pre­zen­ti­ra­nje istar­skog ise­lje­niš­tva pred­stav­lja­lo je gole­mi iza­zov. Gotovo da nema činje­ni­ce oko koje bi se svi mogli slo­ži­ti; raz­li­či­te su i pret­pos­tav­ke koli­ko se Istrana ise­li­lo izme­đu dva rata ili pos­li­je 2. svjet­skog rata, a oso­bi­to su raz­li­či­te inter­pre­ta­ci­je okol­nos­ti i pri­ti­sa­ka koji su dove­li do ise­lja­va­nja. Nismo se bavi­li bro­je­vi­ma i ana­li­za­ma raz­li­či­tih ide­olo­gi­ja, već smo etno­graf­ski poku­ša­li pri­ka­za­ti što se doga­đa s lju­di­ma kada mora­ju, osje­ća­ju da mora­ju ili jed­nos­tav­no žele nas­ta­vi­ti život izvan Istre.

Research and pre­sen­ta­ti­on of Istrian emi­gra­ti­on pre­sen­ted a huge chal­len­ge beca­use of the num­ber and hete­ro­ge­ne­ity of exis­ting inter­pre­ta­ti­ons, which mainly result from dif­fe­rent ide­olo­gi­cal and poli­ti­cal con­texts. There are just a few fac­ts that everyo­ne can agree on. For exam­ple, the­re are dif­fe­rent spe­cu­la­ti­ons abo­ut the num­ber of Istrians who emi­gra­ted betwe­en the World Wars or after the World War II and dif­fe­rent inter­pre­ta­ti­ons of cir­cum­s­tan­ces and pre­ssu­res which led to emi­gra­ti­on. We have not dealt with num­bers and the analysis of vari­ous ide­olo­gi­es, but have ins­te­ad tri­ed to show from the eth­no­grap­hic point of view what hap­pens with people when they must, feel they must or sim­ply want to con­ti­nue the­ir lives out­si­de of Istria.

Iako se doti­če ise­lje­ni­šta­va s počet­ka 20. sto­lje­ća, naj­vi­še je gra­đe posve­će­no emi­grant­skim valo­vi­ma izme­đu dva rata i oso­bi­to onom pos­li­je­rat­nom. Na taj je način po prvi put ostva­ren zajed­nič­ki etno­graf­ski pri­kaz ise­lje­nič­kih sud­bi­na koje, prem­da su lju­di odla­zi­li iz Istre iz raz­li­či­tih raz­lo­ga, ima­ju mno­ge zajed­nič­ke karakteristike.»

Although it touc­hes upon emi­gra­ti­on from the begin­ning of the 20th cen­tury, most of the mate­ri­al is devo­ted to emi­grant waves betwe­en the World Wars and par­ti­cu­lar­ly the peri­od after the World War II. In this way, the exhi­bi­ti­on stan­ds as the first glo­bal eth­no­grap­hic view of des­ti­ni­es of emi­grant who left Istria for vari­ous reasons, but still sha­re many com­mon features.»

The exhi­bi­ti­on is open for visi­tors every day from 10 a.m. till 6 p.m. Closed on Mondays.

La ricer­ca e la pre­sen­ta­zi­one degli emi­gra­ti istri­ani è sta­ta una gran­de sfi­da a causa del­le nume­ro­se ed ete­ro­ge­nee inter­pre­ta­zi­oni di ques­to feno­me­no, deri­va­te per lo più da vari e diver­si con­tes­ti ide­olo­gi­ci e poli­ti­ci. La mos­tra non si pre­oc­cu­pa di defi­ni­re l’e­sat­to nume­ro di emi­gra­ti tra le due guer­re e dopo la Seconda guer­ra mon­di­ale e non si occu­pa di ana­li­zza­re le varie ide­olo­gie che for­nis­co­no le pro­prie spi­ega­zi­oni del­le cause di tale emi­gra­zi­one, ben­sì cer­ca di illus­tra­re quel­lo che suc­ce­de con le per­so­ne che sen­to­no di dover o sem­pli­ce­men­te desi­de­ra­no con­ti­nu­are la pro­pria vita fuori dall’Istria. 

Anche se ven­go­no pre­se in con­si­de­ra­zi­one le emi­gra­zi­oni del XX seco­lo, una mag­gi­or atten­zi­one è sta­ta rivol­ta alle migra­zi­oni tra le due guer­re mon­di­ali e, in spe­ci­al modo, a quel­le che anno avu­to luogo imme­di­ata­men­te dopo la Seconda guer­ra mon­di­ale. Questa mos­tra offre un pros­pet­to dei des­ti­ni degli emi­gra­ti istri­ani che, per quan­to le cause siano sta­te dif­fe­ren­ti, han­no avu­to mol­te carat­te­ris­tic­he in comune. 

La mos­tra sarà aper­ta fino al 31 dicem­bre, ogni gior­no, tran­ne il lunedì, dal­le ore 10 alle 18.
