U pul­skom kinu Valli dva dana zare­dom, 25 i 26. stu­de­no­ga nas­tu­pit će duet pod nazi­vom CHASE THE DEVIL.
Ovaj je glaz­be­ni pro­jekt CHASE THE DEVIL (Dean Bowman – glas, Gary Lucas – gita­ra) oform­ljen je u lje­to 2008. kao rezul­tat zajed­nič­ke stras­ti pre­ma duhov­noj i izvor­noj glaz­bi. Jazz/Blues pje­vač Dean Bowman (John Scofield, Screaming Headless Torsos, Don Byron, Lester Bowie, MeShell Ndegeocello, Reggie Workman) i gita­ris­tič­ka legen­da Gary Lucas (Captain Beefheart, Lou Reed, Nick Cave, John Cale, Iggy Pop, Bryan Fery, Dr. John, John Zorn, Patti Smith, Jeff Buckley, Leonard Bernstein) ovom su surad­njom zako­ra­či­li u podru­čje coun­try blu­esa, gos­pe­la, židov­ske litur­gij­ske i islam­ske qawwa­li glaz­be istra­žu­ju­ći glaz­bu i poezi­ju mno­go­broj­nih umjet­ni­ka – od Williama Blakea, Blinda Williea Johnsona, The Sabri Brothersa do The Staple Singersa i Nusrat Fatah Ali Khana.
Cijena ula­za je u pret­pro­da­ji 50 do je na dan kon­cer­ta 70 kuna. Nudi se pose­ban popust za sred­njo­škol­ce, stu­den­te, oso­be sta­ri­je od 60 godi­na i čla­no­ve Hrvatske glaz­be­ne uni­je. Ulaznice se po 30 kn pre­uzi­ma­ju na bla­gaj­ni na dan koncerta.

On the 25th and the 26th of November the Valli Cinema will host the Chase the Devil duo. The band (Dean Bowman – glas, Gary Lucas – gita­ra) was foun­ded during the sum­mer of 2008 in order to express the mutu­al passi­on toward spi­ri­tu­al and ori­gi­nal music. Jazz and blu­es sin­ger Dean Bowman (John Scofield, Screaming Headless Torsos, Don Byron, Lester Bowie, MeShell Ndegeocello, Reggie Workman) and the guita­rist legend Gary Lucas (Captain Beefheart, Lou Reed, Nick Cave, John Cale, Iggy Pop, Bryan Fery, Dr. John, John Zorn, Patti Smith, Jeff Buckley, Leonard Bernstein) have ente­red the doma­in of coun­try blu­es, gos­pel, Jewish litur­gi­cal and Islamic qawwa­li music thro­ugh the­ir explo­ra­ti­on of music and poetry by nume­ro­us artis­ts – from William Blake, Blind Willie Johnson, the Sabri Brothers to the Staple Singers and Nusrat Fatah Khana.

The tic­kets are ava­ila­ble in advan­ce sale at the pri­ce of 50 kuna. On the day of the con­cert the tic­kets will cost 70 kuna. High-scho­ol stu­dents, uni­ver­sity stu­dents, seni­or citi­zens and mem­bers of the Croatian Music Union are enti­tled to a spe­ci­al dis­co­unt; the afo­re­men­ti­oned gro­ups can buy the­ir tic­kets at the pri­ce of 30 kuna on the day of the concert.

Il pro­get­to musi­ca­le „Chase the devil” (Bowman – voce, Gary Lucas – chi­tar­ra) è sta­to fon­da­to nell’estate del 2008 ed è il risul­ta­to del­la passi­one di due per­so­ne ver­so la musi­ca spirituale.


Questa col­la­bo­ra­zi­one tra il can­tan­te jazz/blues Dean Bowman (John Scofield, Screaming Headless Torsos, Don Byron, Lester Bowie, MeShell Ndegeocello, Reggie Workman) e il chi­tar­ris­ta Gary Lucas (Captain Beefheart, Lou Reed, Nick Cave, John Cale, Iggy Pop, Bryan Fery, Dr. John, John Zorn, Patti Smith, Jeff Buckley, Leonard Bernstein) li ha por­ta­ti a fare un ulte­ri­ore passo nel cam­po del coun­try blu­es, del gos­pel, del­la musi­ca litur­gi­ca ebrea e del­la musi­ca isla­mi­ca qawwa­li, spe­ri­men­tan­do la poesia di nume­ro­si artis­ti – da William Blake, Blind Willie Johnson, The Sabri Brothers a The Staple Singers e Nusrat Fatah Ali Khana.


Il pre­zzo dei bigli­et­ti in ven­di­ta è di 50 kune, men­tre il gior­no del con­cer­to è di 70 kune. Gli alun­ni del­le medie supe­ri­ori, gli stu­den­ti, e le per­so­ne più vec­c­hie di 60 anni e i mem­bri dell’Unione musi­ca­le cro­ata potran­no usu­fru­ire di uno scon­to speciale.
