U srijedu, 18. kolovoza 2010. u labinskoj crkvici Sv. Stjepana otvoriti će se 7. izložba iz ciklusa izložbi mladih umjetnika u sklopu Labin Art Republike. Izložbom “Krletke” predstaviti će se studentica Akademije primijenjenih umjetnosti u Rijeci Valentina Stepan. Izložba “Krletke” sastoji se od 21 raznobojne krletke izrađene kao instalacije za glavu. Cilj izložbe je navesti ljude da na trenutak razmisle o samima sebi, pokušaju spoznati svoje mane i teret koji ih koči na životnom putovanju kako bi ih određene prepreke prestale uvijek iznova sputavati. Isprobavanjem krletke, promatranjem vlastitog odraza u ogledalu i naposljetku, skidanja iste s glave, svaki posjetitelj može sudjelovati u vlastitom performansu koji simbolizira izlazak iz krletke odricanjem emocionalnog tereta u svrhu življenja “punim plućima”. Izložbu je moguće pogledati do 24. kolovoza 2010. svakodnevno od 18:00 do 22:00 sati.
Within the framework of Labin Art Republic, on August 18 the St. Stephen Church in Labin will host the opening of the 7th exhibition from the cycle of exhibitions by young artists. On this occasion Valentina Stepan, a student of the Academy of Applied Arts in Rijeka, will present her works gathered under the title „Cages“. The exhibition includes 21 cages in different colours created to present headgear installations. The aim of the exhibition is to make people think about themselves for a moment, to try to recognize their flaws and burdains, which hinder theim in their lives. The exhibition will be on view until August 24, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
