Seadeta Midžić of the «X-oP» is this year’s guest of honor.

«Infinite games don’t have a perceptible beginning or end. The endless game exists for its own sake. If the game is getting near the conclusion because of its rules of playing, the rules must be changed in order to enable the continuation of the game. The rules exist to ensure that the game will go on forever. Examples can include the sphere of culture and its participants, the act of creating a work of art, participation in activities such as the Renaissance Fair or other games focused on the goal, games which motivate the act of playing not the act of winning. In the end, the life itself is the most full realization of this endless game. We can become participants in the game without our consent because it doesn’t require conscious thought. But the continuation is a product of our will. «The unalterable principle of the game is that everyone who plays – plays willingly.»- states the catalogue.

«Media Scape» is a project which gathers artists from Croatia and abroad who present their works through media art symposiums. It was founded in Zagreb in 1991 by Heiko Daxl, Ingeborg Fulepp, Bojan Baletić and Malcolm LeGrice.

Until 1999 it was held every year in Zagreb («Mimara» Museum, MMC, HDLU, Museum of Contemporary Art). In 2005 the project was moved to Novigrad («Rigo» Gallery, «Lapidarium» Museum).
