Place: Basilica of St. Sophia, Dvigrad
On June 26 at 9 p.m. Basilica of St. Sophia in Dvigrad will host the opening of the 8th International Festival of Early Music titled Dvigrad Festival. The festival is organized by the Region of Istria, Municipality of Kanfanar, French Embassy in Croatia, French Institute in Zagreb and the Prosoli Association. The beginning of the festival will be marked by performances of Love Songs from the 12th century. Musiche amorose – Le Parlement de Mousique will be performed by vocalists Ivana Lazar and Helena Lucić and instrumentalists Adriana Alcaide, Clemence Schaming, Yasunori Imamura, Krešo Lazar and Martin Gester (violin, cello, teorba, harpsychord). The festival is organized under the patronage of the Municipality of Kanfanar, Region of Istrian, Papal Institute for Church Music, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, Croatian Tourist Board, French Cultural Institute in Zagreb, Italian Cultural Institute and others.
