On June 21 the Main Post Office (Dante’s Square) in Pula will host the opening of a philatelic exhibition, which will be staged on the occasion of the Intenational Day of Music. The exhibition is organized in cooperation of Hrvatske pošte d.d and the „Arena“ Philatelic Society. Author of the exhibition is Lenko Kukoč, a member of „Arena“, who divided the displayed exhibits into two categories: „Musical instruments on stamps“ and „Musical art on stamps“. Stamps from different countries depict musical instruments, celebrities and scenes from operas and operettas. Visitors will have the opportunity to see stamps with images of renowned musicians, such as Chopin, Berlioz, Verdi, Smetana, Elvis Presley, Louis Armstrong and Croatian musicians Ivo Tijardović, Jakov Gotovac, Vatroslav Lisinski, Lovro von Matačić, etc. The exhibition will be on view until July 31.
