On the occasion of the Festival of Bosnian Culture in Istria, Poreč will host the opening of the solo exhibition of photographs by Alija M. Akšamija, which will take place on July 1 at 9 p.m.

Alija M. Akšamija was born in 1919 in Rogatica and is one of the most famous art photographers from Bosnia and Herzegovina. He studied in Sarajevo and later in Belgrade (thanks to USUF YU) and in the USA (FPS – Famous Photographers School). Akšamija staged solo and joint exhibition in numerous world centres. His works were published in monographs, books and professional magazines. Akšamija is also the winner of a great number of international and national awards. The photographs which will be displayed at the exhibition are a selection from a monograph, which has been recently published by the Bosnian National Society in Croatia. The book was published  on the occasion of celebrating Akšamija’s lifetime achievement award of the European Federation of Professional Photographers for 2008.

The exhibition will be on view until July 17, 2010.

Gallery hours: every day 10 a.m. – noon; 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Closed on Sundays.

    kada bi pisalo di će se izložba održati bilo bi lijepo ? Galerija zuccato, Mali Salon ili Sabornica ili nešto četvrto ?
