On June 15, at 9 p.m., Vlatko Vincek will open his solo exhibition titled Stasis. The exhibition will be on view at the St. Thomas Gallery in Rovinj, within the framework of the R.A.P. program of the Rovinj Heritage Museum. On this occasion Vincek will present his videos, which depict the artist’s walk through the woods undertaken between 2007 and 2009. The walk is always taking place at the same place, in a rhythmical pace, up and down, every day during two years. The exhibition represents Vincek’s attitude toward the nature and his own body. Screenings of walks will take place in a darkened room, which is decorated with bars of soap, which give off intensive forest-like scent and suggest a path which is virtually connected to the path on the screen. The exhibition will be on view until July 3, 2010.
