
On July 17 the Arena in Pula hosted the opening of the 57th Pula Film Festival. The festival was opened by Boris Miletić, the mayor of Pula. The program was hosted by actors Dora Fišter and Damir Markovina. The ballet ensemble of the Croatian National Theatre Ivan pl. Zajc from Rijeka performed a scene form the film „Malena“ by Giuseppe Tornatore. Beside the ballet performance, the audience had the opportunity to enjoy the performance of Mauro Maur, the Italian trumpet player. The fireworks followed after the presentation of films. The first evening of Pula Film Festival was marked by screenings of films „The Show Must Go On“ by Nevio Marasović and „A single man” by Tom Ford.
