On July 18, at 9 p.m. the St. Euphemia Church in Rovinj will host the concert of the Zagreb Chamber Orchestra, which will be conducted by Orest Shourgot. Soloist are Katja Markotić (mezzosoprano) and Stjepan Hauser (cello). This concert will mark the opening the Rovinj Summer Festival. The Zagreb Chamber Orchestra was founded in 1937 by Rudolf Matz, who gathered 20 excellent instrumentalists. The orchestra also includes 15 professional musicians who graduated from the Music Academy in Zagreb. The repertoire of the Zagreb Chamber Orchestra includes baroque, classical, romantic and contemporary works by Croatian and international authors.
