On August 28, at 10 p.m., Labin will host a concert of Hotel Palindrone, the band which has represented the core of the original Austrian folk music for the past ten years.

Hotel Palindrone is a band which has gathered four experienced and versatile Austrian musicians: Peter „Nag” Natterer (sax, bass, piano), Albin Paulus (wind instruments), John Morrissey (mandola, baroque guitar) and Stephan „Stoney” Steiner (string instruments, organ and melodeon). The band was established in 1995 and is one of the most innovative Austrian folk bands. These versatile musicians are acquainted with the European folk tradition but often import elements of jazz and classical music into the melodies which oscillate between the nostalgic, archaic impressions and the modern sound. Although they use their own Austrian roots, the members of Hotel Palindrone are familiar with the Swedish and Balkan music. The result is a unique and particular style, which could be defined as pan-European folk. Their ability to play 16 instruments enriches their interesting arrangements, dance rhythms and lyrical ellegance. Free entry.
