Time: August 17, 2010
Place: St. Thomas Gallery, Rovinj

On August 17, at 8 p.m., St. Thomas Gallery in Rovinj will host the opening of a solo exhibition by Bruno Mascarelli. The exhibition Action D’Éclat will be staged within the framework of the R.A.P program of the Rovinj Heritage Museum. The displayed paintings were not brought from a studio and were not painted earlier. The metaphysics of the space, its charge and the artist’s work space became one. The artist must work fast, create a great number of paintings and be ready for the upcoming opening of the exhibition.
Bruno Mascarelli was born in 1926 in Sarajevo. After he had finished the Zagreb Academy of Visual Arts, he moved to Rovinj. Along with Zoro Matić and Slobodan Vuličević, Mascarelli founded the Rovinj Heritage Museum. He is also the founder of the Rovinj School, which engendered the Visual Colony Rovinj.
