On August 13, at 9 p.m., Museum Lapidarium in Novigrad will host the opening of the thematic exhibition Pop Art & Beyond. The exhibition is organized in cooperation with Gallery Visconti Fine Art from Ljubljana. Visitors will have the opportunity to see works by Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, James Rosenquist, Robert Rauschenberg, Tom Wesselmann (POP ART…), Alexander Calder, John Chamberlain and Sam Francis (& BEYOND), from collections of Lazar Vujić and Živa Škodlar Vujić. The link between the works is the way of outlining the revolutionary chapter of American art of the second half of the 20th century. The exhibition includes a variety of graphic productions of the leading representatives of pop art, authors who created in the period of abstract expressionism and other artistic currents. The exhibition will be opened by the art critic Brane Kovič.
