Subota 08. kolovoza 2011., garaža bivšeg kina Pula na Giardinima u Puli ponovo je bila mjesto susreta generacija. Razlog dolaska bio je posljednji dan kulturno – umjetničkog festivala KUFer. Kraj festivala obilježen je glazbenom večeri koju su svojim nastupom uveličale dvije glazbene skupine Urban & 4 te puležani Tutankhamon Space Machine. Photo Report: Opening of the Festival od Dance and Non-Verbal Theatre

On July 22 Sanvincenti hosted the opening of the Festival of Dance and Non-Verbal Theatre, which is a unique cultural event, organized by the Zagreb Dance Ensemble. The festival with a long tradition proved to be the favourite gathering place of dance experts and lovers of dance art, who come to enjoy the international program, which includes contemporary dance, physical theatre, circus art, street theatre and educational seminars and workshops. This year’s program will take place at the Castle and the Art Centre, but a great part of the program will be free and will be staged at the square and at the Lodge. Photo Report: Opening of the exhibition Cinemaniac X

On July 17, at 8.30 p.m., the MMC Luka Gallery hosted the opening of the joint exhibition which marked the 10th edition of the Cinemaniac project. The exhibition includes works of Jagoda Kaloper and Renata Poljak, artists of different generations, which investigate the constitution of the female subject and the question of identity. Woman in the mirror is Kaloper’s autobiographic film collage in which the author combines movie clips from the films in which she acted during the 1960′s and 1970′s. Photo Report: Opening of the 58th Pula Film Festival

Under the starry sky, the Arena in Pula hosted the opening of the 58th Pula Film Festival. The ceremony was attended by Ivo Josipović, the president of Republic of Croatia, and Jasen Mesić, the Minister of Culture. Gabi Novak, the friend of the festival, contributed by singing the song „Pamtim samo sretne dane“. One of the most significant guests of this year’s edition is certainly James Ivory, the American director. The program named Festival Retrospective is dedicated to Ivory’s films.The first film of the festival was Lea and Daria – children’s kingdom. To see the photos, click here here.

Photo Report: Arena of Fatal women in Pula

On July 7, at 9.30 p.m, the courtyard of the House of Croatian Defenders in Pula hosted the fashion event titled The Arena of Fatal Women. The fashion show displayed costumes of women who inhabited Pula during the course of centuries and left their mark. The audience had the opportunity to see nine women, nine interesting historical stories and nine beautiful costumes, which were designed by Elica Iljoska and students. The program was hosted by Martina Vrbos, who promoted her latest single. The end of the evening was marked by the collection of Uroš Raguž, the artist from Pula. Photos: Marina Puh

On July 5, the starry sky in the Pula Amphitheatre welcomed Seal. His loyal fans were amazed by his biggest hits Crazy, Amazing and many others. Seal’s energetic dance, jokes and stunning voice evoked three thousand smiles. He addressed the audience in Croatian and expressed gratitude for their hospitality.
