“Kao Count Basie” u Puli|“Like Count Basie” in Pula|

Dana 29. pro­sin­ca 2010. s počet­kom u 20:00 sati u veli­koj kon­cert­noj dvo­ra­ni Doma hrvat­skih bra­ni­te­lja u Puli odr­ža­ti će se kon­cert Big Banda Pula. Voditelj Big Banda je naš poz­na­ti tru­bač Branko Sterpin. Riječ je ben­du koji je osno­van je 1996., a prvi put se publi­ci pred­stav­lja kra­jem iste godi­ne u Istarskom narod­nom kaza­li­štu u Puli. Voditelj orkes­tra i aran­žer je Davor Lorković, a na reper­to­aru nala­ze se jazz stan­dar­di mains­tre­am usmje­re­nja. Za ovo­go­di­šj­ni kon­cert oda­bra­li su glaz­bu „Count Basie and his Orchestra“. Izvodit će neke od nume­ra iz boga­tog reper­to­ara ovog famoz­nog big ban­da u ori­gi­nal­nim aran­žma­ni­ma Basievih naj­poz­na­ti­jih aran­že­ra Sammyja Nestica i Boba Florencea (Shiny Stockings, Hay Burner). Koncert je već tra­di­oci­onal­no pok­lon publici.

On December 29, at 8 p.m., the Grand Hall of the House of Croatian Defenders will host the con­cert of Big Band Pula. The leader of the Big Band is our renowned trum­pet player Branko Sterpin. The band was foun­ded in 1996, and the first con­cert was sta­ged at the end of the same year at the Istrian Popular Theatre. Davor Lorković is the head of the orc­hes­tra and the aut­hor of arran­ge­ments. The ban­d’s reper­to­ire inclu­des jazz stan­dar­ds. This year’s con­cert, which is a tra­di­ti­onal gift to the audi­en­ce, will inclu­de music of Count Basie and his Orchestra.
