U ex “Galeriji Milotić”, u ponedjeljak 06. srpnja 2009. godine, u 21 sat, otvorena je izložba vrhunskih novinarskih fotografija iz “Associated Pressa” (najvećeg i najstarijeg informacijskog sistema).
Otvaranje su upriličili pulski fotograf Hassan Abdelgani, koji je ujedno i organizator te Darko Bandić, direktor AP ‑a za Hrvatsku.
Prema Bandićevim riječima, ova izložba dio je kolektivne svijesti uzrokovane povijesnim promjenama. Na izloženim fotografijama zabilježeni su najdojmljiviji događaji u kojima su se zatekli novinari “AP ‑a”, od kojih su mnogi, za svoje uratke, dobili i Pulitzerovu nagradu.
U godinu i pol dana, ova izložba gostovala je na više svjetskih lokacija (Kuba, Paragvaj, Ljubljana, Zagreb, a trenutno i Pula).
Izloženi radovi printevi su originalnih snimaka iz zbirke “AP ‑a”, od kojih najstarija datira iz 1937. godine (gorući cepelin “Hindenburg”). Od ostalih kultnih fotografija izložene su: foto Marlyn Monroe, portret Fidela Castra, Saddama Husseina, Majke Tereze, Mohammada Alija te prikazi ratnih strahota u Vijetnamu, Ruandi, Liberiji, Zairu i Bosni. Neke od suvremenijih tema su: ulična prostitucija i fragmenti tetoviranog muškarca.
Izložba se može pogledati svaki dan ujutro od 10 do 13 sati i navečer od 18 do 22 sata, sve do 30. srpnja 2009. godine.(I.R.)
On the 6th of July 2009 at 9 p.m. the former «Milotić Gallery» hosted the opening of the exhibition of the excellent journalist photographs from the «Associated Press» collection.
The opening has been arranged by the organizer Hassan Abdelghani, photographer from Pula, and Darko Bandić, director of the «AP» Croatia.
According to Bandić, this exhibition portraits a part of the collective mind, which has been created by the historical changes. The photographers of the «AP» have captured the most impressive events and many of them have won a Pulitzer prize for their work.
During the past year and a half the exhibition has toured the world: Cuba, Paraguay, Ljubljana, Zagreb and is currently on view in Pula.
The displayed works are actually prints of the original photographs from the «AP» collection, and the oldest work on display, the photo «Hindenburg Zeppelin on Fire», was taken in 1937. Beside the aforementioned, some other famous photographs, such as the portraits of Marilyn Monroe Fidel Castro, Saddam Hussein, Mother Teresa, Mohammad Ali and the representation of the Vietnam war atrocities are also on display. But the «AP» photographers have also captured some of the current phenomena, such as prostitution and fragments of a tattooed man, and these photos have also been incorporated into the exhibition’s framework.
The exhibition can be seen every day from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.
Nella ex “Galleria Milotić”, lunedì 6 luglio 2009, alle ore 21, è stata aperta la mostra di eccellenti fotografie giornalistiche dell’“Associated Press” (il sistema informativo più grande e più vecchio al mondo).
La mostra è stata aperta dal fotografo polese e organizzatore della mostra Hassan Abdelgani e da Darko Bandić, direttore dell’“AP” della Croazia.
Secondo quanto asserito da Bandić, questa mostra è parte di una coscienza collettiva causata dai cambiamenti storici. Le fotografie presentano gli avvenimenti più impressionanti cui hanno testimoniato i giornalisti della “AP”, di cui molti hanno ottenuto il premio Pulitzer.
In un anno e mezzo, questa mostra è stata ospitata in molte parti del mondo (Cuba, Paraguay, Lubiana, Zagabria, e momentaneamente anche a Pola).
Le foto esibite sono degli print degli originali della collezione della “AP”, di cui il più vecchio è datato 1937 (lo zeppelin “Hindenburg” in fiamme). Delle altre fotografie famose sono esibite: la foto di Marlyn Monroe, i ritratti di Fidel Castro, Saddam Hussein, Madre Teresa, Mohammad Ali e le immagini degli orrori di guerra del Vietnam. Alcuni dei temi contemporanei sono: prostituzione di strada e frammenti di un uomo tatuato.
La mostra può venir visitata ogni giorno dalle ore 18 alle 22.
