U utorak 27. listopada u 19.00 sati u prostorima Gradske knjižnice Poreč, Trg Marafor 3 održat će se predavanje Korada Korlevića “Nova astronomija”.
Posljednjih pedesetak godina ostvareni su ogromni uspjesi čovječanstva na putu u Svemir; svjedoci smo stalnog protoka informacija i slika koje nam šalju svemirske sonde iz Sunčeva sustava, grade se velike zvjezdarnice na dalekim i pustim lokacijama… i onda je nestalo zvjezdano nebo. Priča o “Novoj astronomiji ” Korada Korlevića je priča o otkrićima, novim pitanjima, tehnološkim izazovima, problemima s kojima se suočava moderna astronomija, priča o podizanju svijesti šire javnosti o problemu koji ne zahvaća samo astronomiju, već utječe i na okoliš, floru i faunu, kao i ljudsko zdravlje.
UNESCO i Svjetska astronomska organizacija proglasili su 2009. godinu „Godinom astronomije – IYA 2009, International Year of Astronomy“ s motom “Svemir: na vama je da ga otkrijete”.
On Tuesday, the 27th of October, at 7 p.m., the Poreč Town Library will host Korado Korlević, who will deliver his lecture on the topic of «New astronomy».
During the last fifty years the mankind made a great progress concerning the exploration of the Universe, we are witnesses of the constant flow of information and photographs sent to the Earth from satellites situated across the Solar System, big observatories are built at remote and desolate locations…and then the starry sky disappeared. The story about the «New Astronomy» by Korado Korlević is a story about discoveries, new questions, technological challenges, problems faced by the modern astronomy, story about informing the public about the problems not relating only to the astronomy but influencing the environment, flora, fauna and human health. The UNESCO and the International Astronomical Union proclaimed this year to be the International Year of Astonomy with the motto «The Universe: Yours to Discover».
