U Crkvi Sv. Bernarda u Funtani 25. kolo­vo­za s počet­kom u 21 sat kon­cert će odr­ža­ti «Kvartet Veljak”.

On the 25th of August at 9 p.m. the St. Bernard Church in Funtana will host the con­cert of the Veljak Quartet.

Il 25 agos­to, alle ore 21, nel­la chi­esa S. Bernardo, a Fontane, si esi­birà il «Quartetto Veljak».

Začeci kvar­te­ta nas­ta­ju 1997. kada riječ­ka glaz­be­na obi­telj Veljak okup­lja svo­je sna­ge te u for­mi tri­ja nas­tu­pa diljem Hrvatske u raz­nim prigodama.

Godine 2005. pri­dru­žu­je im se i naj­mla­đi član obi­te­lji, tri­na­es­to­go­diš­nji Vid na violon­če­lu. Tako je nas­tao Kvartet u koje­mu svi­ra­ju i Maja, Nataša i Valter.

Na reper­to­aru ima­ju dje­la mno­gih glaz­be­nih sti­lo­va i raz­dob­lja, a veći­nu sklad­bi za ansambl pri­re­dio je Valter Veljak (kon­tra­ba­sist i član barok­nog ansam­bla «Collegium musi­cum Fluminense» te orkes­tra Opere riječ­kog HNK –a i «Riječkog komor­nog orkestra».

Mlade violi­nis­ti­ce Maja i Nataša Veljak zavr­ši­le su sred­nje glaz­be­ne ško­le te «Visoku ško­lu za glaz­be­nu umjet­nost» u Lovranu. Nastupaju diljem Europe sa svim važ­ni­jim riječ­kim orkes­tri­ma. (I. R.)

The begin­nigs of the quar­tet date back to the year 1997 when the Veljak family, musi­cal family from Rijeka, gat­he­red to form a trio. In 2005 they were joined by the thir­te­en-year-old cel­list Vid, the youn­gest mem­ber of the family. That was the begin­ning of the Quartet, which gat­hers Maja, Nataša, Valter and Vid. Their reper­to­ire com­pri­ses com­po­si­ti­ons of vari­ous styles and from dif­fe­rent peri­ods. Most of them are arran­ged by Valter Velja, con­tra­ba­ssist and mem­ber of the baroque ensem­ble «Collegium musi­cum Fluminense», the orc­hes­tra of the Rijeka Opera and the «Rijeka Chamber Orchestra». Maja and Nataša Veljak, young violi­nis­ts, have gra­du­ated from the music high-scho­ol and the «Visoka ško­la za glaz­be­nu umjet­nost» in Lovran. The Quartet has been per­for­ming all arond Europe in coope­ra­ting with all impor­tant orc­hes­tras from Rijeka.

Il quar­tet­to ven­ne fon­da­to nel 1997, quan­do la fami­glia Veljak di Fiume for­mò un trio ed ini­ziò ad esi­bir­si in tut­ta la Croazia.

Nel 2005 al trio for­ma­to da Maja, Nataša e Valter si unì anc­he il mem­bro più giova­ne del­la fami­glia, il tre­di­cen­ne Vid, al violoncello. 

Il loro reper­to­rio è mol­to vario e la mag­gi­or par­te dei bra­ni è sta­ta pre­pa­ra­ta da Valter Veljak ( con­trab­ba­ssis­ta e mem­bro dell’ensemble baroc­co «Collegium musi­cum Fluminense», dell’orchestra dell’Opera del Teatro popo­la­re cro­ato di Fiume e dell’ «Orchestra da came­ra di Fiume».

Accompagnando le più impor­tan­ti orc­hes­tre di Fiume, si esi­bis­co­no in tut­ta Europa.
